Hello world 🙂
My name is Shelley & I am a junior in college at University of Wisconsin. I came across the healthy eating/living/etc. blogging community randomly and became so interested in it! I was so impressed with all of the amazing recipes & foods. I loved reading other people’s advice and experiences. This led me to start a blog of my own. I wanted to wait until I was in a good enough place (i.e. on the road to being ed-free, see the “my story” tab) to write a blog that I would be proud of and that could truly represent who I am.
My interests include (but defffinnitelly are not limited to) shopping, movies, hanging out with friends, eating GOOD food & eating healthy foods, running, my sorority, music, gym floor hockey [sooo fun], doodling, blackberry brickbreaker (yes, I am addict) and much much more.
This blog started as an outlet for my recovery from my eating disorder as I made my way through my freshman year in college. It has been a bump road, but in the process I have learned so much about myself that I would love to write down in words. I have so much to share with the world, and I invite you to follow if you’d like!
The blogging community has inspired me to get back to being healthy and has shown me that I am not going through this alone. I want this blog to be a place to can show girls that being healthy, happy, and successful in college IS possible.. and actually can be pretty easy and fun 🙂
If you have any questions, feel free to comment! I can’t wait to get more involved in the blogging community & I appreciate any support. You can also e-mail me at shell625@gmail.com

Hi Shelley!! Thanks for the comment! Wow, we DO have a lot in common 🙂 If I can give you one piece of advice it would be to live up your college years and don’t let food/exercise worries get in the way of having fun and enjoying the next 3 1/2 years! Looking forward to getting to know you!
Hi Shelley! Many thanks for the kind comment! Oh what I would give to be a freshman in college again 🙂 Those were the days! That is so great that the blogging community has been such an inspiration to you. Welcome!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Hi, I went through a similar situation as you. I obsesed with exercise/food through out college, and like the commenters above, don’t do it! These years are to short! It has taken me about a year to get to where I am today, slowly adding new food and obsessing less about exercise. Finding that healthy balance is key! Stick with it and you’ll feel great!
Hellooo Shelleyy! Thanks for the comment girl… love your little bloggie-self already! 🙂 Cant wait to read more…

Hey! Thanks for your comment on my blog, just wanted to stop by and say congrats on starting college and regaining your health! The blogging community has a lot of motivation and inspiration to offer…we are here for you!
Hope all is going well 🙂
I struggled with disordered eating and an obsession with being thin throughout college. It’s so nice to read that as you’re just beginning your college career, you’re working on recovering and being happy and healthy.
College should be one of the best times of your life. I ruined mine by spending too much time exercising and obsessing. Keep being happy, HEALTHY, and successful!!!!
I am a new food blogger too – welcome!

Hello
I like your blog. Maybe you will visit mine and I can put you on my blogroll. Maybe you will enjoy it 🙂
hey! ive read your blog and story and you’re so strong. I am also a freshmen in college, well suppose to be. I started a very restrictive diet that turned into anorexia last april and continued all summer. i attempted to go to college is august, i lasted about a month until my weight dropped so much that I was pulled out immidently. i have such faith that you can beat this at college. i wish i was strong enough to…college is the best time of your life, dont let ed get in the way. keep eating. xoxo
I’m so proud of you. You are a rock star. And an inspiration.
I’ve been stumbling over so many great blogs lately and now yours too! I’ve struggled with disordered eating as well and the blogging community is such a wonderful place that helped me so much as well :).
Can’t wait to continue reading!

Hey! I just found your blog and I think it’s great! All of your food (especially yogurt messes!) look so yummy. Good luck with your recovery!
Hi Shelley, I just have to tell you that you’re the most inspirational college-girl-recovering-from-ED blogger I have ever read. And I think it’s because you WANT to get better. So good on you, girl. Seriously.

Hello, your blog is awesome~ Mind if I add you on my blogroll?
Hi Shelley!
I stumbled upon your blog and also have struggled with eating disorders in the past. I’m glad to see that you’re doing better with it and look forward to reading more 🙂
Hey,
first of all : Your blog is such an inspiration. You seem like a really strong person, be proud of yourself.
I saw that you had to use energy drinks during recovery, and was just wondering how long you had to use them and what your experience with them was?
Hedda 🙂
Hi! I just came across your blog and am so glad that I did. I have been struggling with ED for 5 years now (since I was a freshman in college). I have been in recovery now for almost two years and my hardest thing is breaking those food rules. I just spent a session talking to my therapist about them so I am really trying to work on those. Any advice for breaking rules we set for ourself?
Just ran into your blog and it seems like we have a lot in common. I’ll be a regular to your site! Great work. – Erin
Hi Shelley! Thank you so much for commenting on my blog 🙂 I feel like our stories are quite similar. I am too recovering from disordered eating and it’s definitely challenging balancing that with friends, family, school, sorority, etc. But each day is a new milestone! So excited to read your blog, I’ve added you to my blogroll 🙂 Have a wonderful day!
Hi Shelly,
I really like your blog, because my sister and I can really relate. Just last summer were MEGA underweight, and it got out of hand with overexcercising, and cutting calories left and right. But now we have almost gained back all of of healthy weight, and have a better relationship with our bodies. Lets be bloggie friends, and keep in touch.
